Wei is a research partner at 1kx, where he focuses on research and investment around crypto infrastructure and AI. Before joining 1kx, he was a research partner at Bain Capital Crypto and served as a technical advisor to numerous crypto startups. Prior to his investment career, he had published more than a dozen academic papers on cryptography and blockchain. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.
