Ming-Chang Chiu is the Founder and CEO of APAL, an AI assurance startup building trust infrastructure for autonomous agent-to-agent interactions. He is also a Cornell Postdoc and received a PhD at USC, where his research focuses on trustworthy AI, vision-language models, and agentic systems. His work on VideoPoet received the ICML 2024 Best Paper Award, and he has published at venues including ICCV, AAAI and ICASSP. Previously, he conducted research at Google Research (now DeepMind), NVIDIA, and Lawrence Livermore National Lab. He is passionate about ensuring AI systems can verify, and collaborate safely at scale.
