 Russell serves as a Member of the Board of stewards for SporkDAO/ ETHDenver. He was Chief of Staff at ETHDenver and Venture Steward at Bufficorn Ventures He also liaises between government and private industry in this role, communicating with investors and community stakeholders. He is also an Ambassador for Opolis, the Employment Commons. As the former Digital Transformation Director at the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology, Russell was the executive sponsor for myColorado™ and Colorado Digital ID™, successfully implementing the first state-run digital identity and mobile driver license platform, which grew from 0 to 1,700,000 users. Previously, Russell held leadership positions at Wampei, Inc., where he served as the CEO and co-founder, overseeing operations and providing cryptocurrency eCommerce software solutions. He also held various roles at NIC Inc. and its subsidiary, Hawaii Information Consortium, leading the development and deployment of award-winning mobile apps, eGovernment services, and innovative government portal initiatives which made Hawaii.gov the #1 government website in the US in 2014.
