Patrick Chang is the Founder and Managing Partner of Dispersion Capital, an early-stage venture firm focused on infrastructure across AI, blockchain, and decentralized systems. He has nearly two decades of experience investing in enterprise and systems software across seed through growth stages.
Since 2014, Patrick has been an early institutional investor in decentralized and enterprise infrastructure, backing more than 17 companies from the seed stage that later reached unicorn scale or successful acquisition. Notable investments include Helium, Alchemy, Dapper Labs and Flow, Blockstack, Sui, Risc0, 0G, Berachain, Sentient, Sahara AI, Kite AI, Primus, Cast.AI, Branch Metrics, Volterra, Packet, BastionZero, Data.world, Alterya, and ChaosLabs.
Earlier in his career, Patrick invested in enterprise infrastructure at Samsung Next, Bain Capital Ventures, Foundation Capital, Investor Growth Capital, and Cota Capital, and began his career in technology investment banking and M&A at Lehman Brothers and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
