When it comes to web3 dapps and protocols, the customer support experience is often chaotic. Many protocols are decentralized by design, and support is either nonexistent or scattered across community-led channels lacking coordination or handoff. Roles and responsibilities of people providing support are rarely clear and are often individuals providing their “best effort” at helping users in their free time. As a result, users end up bouncing between forums, Discord, Telegram, and other platforms, often without any reliable guidance and no resolution for their issue. Let’s just say “help” shouldn’t be this hard to find. In this talk, guidelines developed by The Graph to provide world-class, decentralized support will be shared in an educational, "how-to" format that other decentralized protocols or dapps can quickly apply to their own ecosystems and level up their support experiences. Topics include: why traditional web2 support fails web3 protocols, how The Graph identified solutions, results so far, and more.
