Migrating existing blockchains to post-quantum security is a complex and high-risk task, with the almost certain likelihood of not being able to fully migrate all coins at best, or unable to migrate any at at all, at worst. As quantum computing threatens our current understanding of cryptography, we face an uphill battle to ensure the long-term security of our digital assets. The first step to avoid this danger lies in ensuring that your blockchain is quantum secure from the first block, with a focus on implementing post-quantum resistant cryptographic algorithms and protocols from block zero onwards. This is where QRL comes in.
