The past several years have seen great progress in blockchain scaling. Sharded blockchains are now a reality. However, even though sharding allows a blockchain to scale with the number of shards, one smart contract could still become prohibitively large and become infeasible to be on one shard. In this talk, we explore how to make smart contracts themselves sharded to fully leverage the power of blockchain sharding.
