In this talk, we'll describe the challenges of changing the state trie of a deployed OP stack rollup. We'll say what needs to change to go from the geth-standard keccak trie to another one. Another state trie that might be useful is one built using Poseidon, which is more zero-knowledge proof friendly. This is relevant to people who have an OP stack optimistic rollup that might want to transition to a ZK rollup and anyone who is interested in exactly how rollups "post a state root" — that logic is at the heart of all of this, after all.
