Blockchains are made for storing data, but not for querying it efficiently. Thus, an indexer can be used as a secondary storage to allow for rich queries on the blockchain data. I'm proposing to store the blockchain data in Kafka so that we can build custom indexers that rely on the data in Kafka instead of the original RPC node. This will 1/ accelerate the data retrieval and 2/ allow for many different indexers to use the same data source.
